[solved] Weird horizontal lines on screen when moving/dodging
Hey,
I have this horizontal lines showing on lower part of screen when moving in any way. It is not screen tearing imo, I tried all the v-sync options and different settings and it is still there. All the time basically. It's driving me a bit insane. It only happens in PoE, on either of my screens, so I think it's in-game issue. Anyone knows what's up or if it's some known issue? I kinda see it. That almost looks like something graphics setting-related. I've come across various visiual anomalies whether Im playing on console or PC. What platform are you on?

I'm on Steam.
It's barely visible on the screenshot, video shows it better. It looks like it's related to lightning, I tried all the lightning options and renderers and it still shows. |

Shadow resolution related. Do you have dynamic resolution on or the Dynamic culling on? Try turning both those off and setting shadow and GI to Ultra for testing.

hmm, had dynamic culling on, I can still see the lines with recommended settings, but it is more subtle.

I've found the culprit !
It was NVIDIAs DLSS upscale mode on Balanced , it doesn't show on Quality or DLAA or other upscalers. Didn't even thought about these to be the problem. Thanks all for trying to help :) |

Watched the video and yeah, it looks to be a cut off point for lighting and a start of some GI/Shadow that is rendering weird. The horizontal lines usually happen then a setting is reduced as it uses less samples (resolution?) to create the shadow itself so you get banding. Not sure in this case. Hopefully GGG can have a look into it for you.
Would be worth posting your specs. I think you should probably put a support ticket in and provide them a DXdiag output. Could also be worth making sure you have the most up to date GPU drivers installed as I think game ready drivers usually fix little things like this. " Ah cool, glad it's sorted. That is really unfortunate. I just switched to balanced and find that it has been working much better for me, performance-wise. It wasn't long until I noticed the line.
Quality gives me frame drops. Performance doesn't look as nice as I would prefer, considering what I spent on hardware. Balanced, as the name suggests, has provided a nice middle ground between quality and performance. But visual artifacts are a no-go for me. I have also noticed some screen flickering and missing textures in Ziggurat Encampment. Curious if that's related. IGN: EmpathicAmoeba
