POE 2 Feedback
Hello,
To give a bit of background, I am in my early 30's and have been gaming since I was a child. Diablo 2 was one of the first games I ever fell in love with and I have played nearly every ARPG game like it. I did not invest more than a few hundred hours into POE1 frankly, because I thought it was too overwhelming and too zoomy once you got to maps (like wtf I can't even see whats happening on my screen how do I avoid getting hit?). I enjoy not thinking too hard in my ARPGs. I want to have a relaxing experience where I can slay at my own speed, but still feel like i am progressing. When I want a zoomer game I play cod or another pvp game. I really really like POE2 combat and speed (so far) compared to POE1. And I really like the way skills work now. Yes some of the uniqueness of POE1 is gone, but it was a stupid uniqueness anyway. It's better now, and anyone arguing otherwise is wrong. It is particularly nice for people who don't want to spend their entire life min-maxing this game. I really really really dislike the dreadnought map. It has made me no longer wish to play this game. Not because of the difficulty, but because the small bridges you have to cross is a horrible design choice. I have been caught/stuck, because our characters cannot phase through the stupid NPC ally, several times. This is super frustrating and un-fun. It reminds me of the maggot lair in diablo 2, which was literally the worst part of the entire game. I also sincerely dislike the choice to include shield minions in the game, but it is amplified on this map where there is no way to take their back, because there is only a small bridge to cross to get around them. Frankly this seems like a really bad oversight, and is very annoying. Small edit, the act 2 town and the deadnought map both lag because of the background. In theory I see why this seemed like a cool idea. In practice, I hate it please let me turn the background off. I am not sure if I will keep playing, it's just not worth the slog.
