GGG, what's the actual point of 1 death per map? Like really, in the grand scheme of things and all that?
In PoE1 you could die at least the number of portals - if you or your build or items or w/e else sucked, those portals and respawns wouldn't help anyway. Here we are in a situation when if I play with my kids around, a little distraction and there goes my almost completed map. It's not "difficulty" it's plain idiotic. I agree, 1 death per map is BS. If I wanted a 1 death situation, I would have made a hardcore character.
This feels like forcing hardcore onto all players and IMO is not good. I sincerely hope someone at GGG rethinks this policy. |

i have to agree, its no fun at all.
Why did they make this decision, it only creates frustration. I really hope they change it as soon as possible. Getting killed during Lever Animation, because animationstucked and losing a waystone feels amazing. |

My wife and I play co-op. We get into a new map, I die almost instantly of poison and I have to sit out an entire map clearing. I can think of better ways to spend the evening with my wife. p.s. I fully agree. Dying in a map means 1 map lost. What's the point of the 6 portals? I can see the point of having to redo a boss fight if I die during the fight, but losing a map because of a death is bad design imho. If I wanted to play that way, I would have made a HC character.

They made 6 Portals for carrying magic items + one rare item to Doryani, i guess.

The worst part is, you also lose every event.
You are alerdy punished for dying, by losing 10% experience, losing all progress on your map, lose the waystone that alerdy have 'meh' droprate And you lose all event. If the endgame wasn't filled with one shot, i wouldn't care much, but... it is. You're punished for not having min maxed stats. GGG, you're heading the exact same way as POE 1 endgame. Lot of us don't want that. |
