Death penalty
With this one-shot system, either from damn archers or from mobs that can jump on you,
isn’t the experience penalty for death way too huge? I’ve been stuck for two days unable to level up because you do 4-5 maps, die, and all your experience is gone... You’ve made such disgusting penalties that it’s literally sickening. I sincerely wish good health to whoever came up with this idea, because no sane person would do this The experience penalty should only apply to the experience earned on the map where I died, and not go into the negatives. Or how about we introduce a de-leveling system altogether (sarcasm), so that only pro players and dildo enthusiasts play this game? Last bumped on Dec 20, 2024, 3:54:11 PM

yeah xp penalty sucks, only makes it so you never level up. Crappy system

The XP penalty should be capped - i.e. you can never lose more than X% xp per level (cumulative). Once you lose X% xp due to deaths you cease loosing XP while on that level. You will lose XP if you level up and die again.
I think this does two main things: 1) keeps the harsh death penalties which seem to heavily arouse whoever designed it (and I’d never kink shame) 2) provides a bit of grace to lower skilled players so they don’t effectively get locked out of maps. |

If there have to be some xp penalty and it can't be removend then above proposition is one way of doing that. Other could be:
- You don't lose XP on death - On death a X% of level XP will be "reserved". Gaining XP fills the reserve before progresing. - When you have reserved XP to pay, death don't reserve more XP. - When you earn enough XP to pay of the reserve, the new death will again reserve the XP This makes repeated death not make you go furhter and further back. To make it even less punishing you could have: - XP can be reserved no more than X times per level. This way if you have bad lack or problems, at some point death on this level won't reserve your XP |

xp penalty is an issue for 12 years and it was not changed. Sadly they are happy with how it works and how punishing it is. It is a backwards progress that hey never understood really.

XP penalty has never been an issue. Your skill to adapt is the issue. You can not just play any nonsense build and expect it go climb to lvl 100. The game would be entirely pointless without the penalty. Oo

If you are getting one shot by anything but a boss ability in this game its your builds fault.

" I presume, in your infinite wisdom, that you are not playing "a nonsense build". Please let us all know when you hit level 100. Hell, let us know when you hit level 95, and share us a screenshot. I think the chances of santa coming down my chimney is bigger than that happening, for the record. |

" aha... don't know how that toxic statement is related to anything. I'll just ignore you, i guess. |
