Targeting issues

I play on PS5 and my experience in PoE 2 is kinda disappointing because of targeting on enemies (and allies too)
The problem is when you move in opposite direction from enemies and use skills your character chose another target in direction you move or do not choose any target and use skills in air
Targeting allies is absolutely horrible
I use soul offering and i literally can't use it on my minion sometimes even with cursor
The skill just ignores my minions

I know that i can use right stick to direct my character but that's uncomfortable
There are to many usable abilities for that kind of control
Two flasks two-three active skills roll/blink

It would be great if we'd have a possibility to chose several types of targeting for each skill
Targeting by distance by direction and manual

+1 OP. This is my one of my biggest frustrations about the game. I nearly quit playing in Act 2 with my Ranger over this. I was trying to use Frozen Salvo and could rarely get the arrows to land, unless I stood still or ran directly at the enemies. Other areas of the game, such as the Bog in Act 3 are frustrating to play. You will have a bunch of enemies directly in front of you so you are strafing backwards but at the same time there are enemies coming out of the swamp and you character automatically starts shooting backwards at that one enemy, despite the 12 in front of you doing all the damage.

Another issue is when casting lightning rods, they always land behind enemies so I have to throw them down and rotate around them. When in hallways where that is not feasible I end up backpedaling into an open area just to circle around my lighting rods. Tornado shot randomly gets placed when fired and always requires some sort of positioning after it lands to take advantage of the tornado.

Inevitably what ends up happening is that I rarely use all my skills, especially those that require more precise targeting and positioning. I save salvo for when I'm getting rushed or stuck and tornado shot for when I know it's safe to stand still, which is rare in this game.

I have yet to find out what I am doing wrong but I've had to just play around it. It does get me killed from time to time and is frustrating. Not sure what changed over POE 1 but the targeting felt much better in that game.
