Unwavering Stance - A Must Change
If you're going to base the game around Dodge/Roll Unwavering Stance needs to be changed to "Unable to be 1 Hit by any boss in the game" instead of "Cannot be Stunned"

its require for slow mace attacks otherwise your interrupted I had a lot stun threshold beforehand and still need unwavering stance to prevent stuns but with no dodge roll - you have to tank attacks that design having dodge roll the attack with damage of some those attacks its impossible to tank Plus you can no longer cancel attacks without dodge roll, only cancel is with another attack which are also slow you cant roll between mobs or push mobs out way so your easily trapped slows are brutal, avoidable, and compound the problem I like idea of this play style but we need ways to deal with the issue it creates give us more tools that take advantage of stun threshold like ability to push though mobs base off stun threshold reduce damage taken on none stunning hits or some kind other defense layer base off stun threshold Ability to resist slows and immobilizers base on stun threshold The play style should make me feel beefy and hulky I should be able throw that weight around |

Feels like these games could have a hidden grace period, where if you to say have had 90%+ health for x-time, nothing save for the most choreographed and dodgable attacks can oneshot you.
You'd still loose all your health putting you at 1, but not dead for like half a second giving you time to react. |

" I really like the idea of shoving mobs aside while dodging, as if you're barging through them. Maybe give the dodge a new animation where you dash forward (we have other unique dodge roll animations in the game and on their way, after all). Have the malus be a slower dodge startup, or a longer dodge recovery, maybe. |

This would be a horribly broken change... Take this node, reduce your max life, get tons of flat regen (standard demon form build shennanigans), and now you are unkillable.

" What? The feeling of control is one of the most important things a game can have, thus getting oneshot by gods knows what from nowhere is nothing but a frustrating experience. Take platformers for example, good ones will add a very brief grace for when you start falling where you are still able to jump as you were on flat ground. This makes it so that you have a tiny animation window where your character starts the falling animation where you can still jump. Giving you a brief visual feedback that you have crossed the ledge. Back to PoE, that visual feedback would be your health now being 1 from a mob or attack that you'd thought would be negligible. You'd still very much die if you were to not react but now you got a window to respond to. |
