Map transparency

The map transparency especially the overlay one should be able to change according to map brightness or add some drop shadow to highlight it. In darker area like cave or Decay, it can be too bright while I cannot see it in brighter area like Utzaal or Lost Tower. It was not a big problem while campaigning because the shift of map tone is not that frequent but in the endgame atlas, the map is quite random and so the brightness.

The overlay map even at 0 transparency is utter rubbish you should also be able to drag it to see the whole map. Terrible map design.

you can move it with arrows
I agree with OP. Some shadow/outline to the bright lines would go a long way for readability over bright ground textures.
I also agree with OP.

For comparison, in poe1 we can cycle through variations of the overlay map, such as fading the inner part that covers your character or fading the entire overlay map.

My compliments to GGG for the great work so far.
