Something is wrong with map drops in area levels 80+

I believe there is a bug with the map drop system in area levels of 80+.

T15 maps default to area level 79. Through mods like Irridated and Corruption, we can get zone level of a T15 to 80. I would expect more T15s to drop from the area level 80 t15 maps than from area level 79, but that has not been my experience.

For some reason, I'm noticing that T15s are not dropping as often in area level 80 as they do in area level 79. I assume it has something to do with a bug with the map equity system or perhaps the "chance at higher tier map" atlas passive is causing map drops from these area level 80 mobs to attempt to bring the map tier above a T15 and is eating the drop instead of properly dropping the map.

It's most obvious with maps that have a boss in them. When the area level is 79, I pretty much always get two or three t15 map drops. However, when I kill bosses in area level 80, I rarely get t15 map drops.

I suspect this would be very difficult to reproduce. My only suggestion is to copy my character (MecDeadeye) and my atlas passive tree and then kill bosses in maps of area level 79 and area level 80 and compare the t15 drop rates from the bosses. I have 37% increased item rarity on my gear so maybe that is contributing as well.

Bumping this as I am only growing more and more convinced there is a bug.
