Early Access Key Use Across Platforms
I purchased the King of the Faridun Supporter Pack on XBox. I have my XBox account linked to this PoE account. However, while I see the message on this account that I made the support pack purchase, the purchase does not show linked to my account. Thus, I cannot login on the PC with my account because it does not recognize my purchased key.
Is the supporter pack linked to my PoE account or is it only tied to the XBox? I would think it should be tied to my PoE account considering a creation of an account was required for the purchase and login. If the key is linked to my PoE account, should that allow me to login to any platform and play using my PoE account? Or do you have to purchase a support pack for each platform? I'm afraid that Early Access keys are platform-locked. That is to say, as even though you play on a single Path of Exile account on Xbox and are now eligible to participate in early access on Xbox with your account, you will still need to either purchase an Early Access supporter pack for the different platform you wish to play on, in this case PC, or acquire another Early Access key for that platform from another player.
Once you have acquired access on the other platform, however, Path of Exile 2 is cross-platform. All your character progress such as xp and items, and in the case of PC and Xbox, your microtransactions, are saved and shared across platforms. I apologise if this answer proves inconvenient, but I hope that has cleared things up for you. | |
Thank you Jacob. That answered my question.
