Cannot use crossbow attack skills after switching weapons from bow to crossbow

Crossbow attack skills don't work if you switch from bow skill into crossbow attack skill. It only works if you use another type of ammo (not the one that is already loaded in your crossbow).
Not sure if this works the same for all weapons and not just bow.

Recreation steps 1:
1. Use any bow skill to switch weapons (Lightning rod, for example).
2. Use crossbow attack (which shoots equipped ammo) -> you can see that you switch the weapon, but you can't shoot with your crossbow.
3. Try using other types of ammo by pressing on them -> nothing happens, crossbow skills don't work.

Recreation steps 2:
1. Use any crossbow skill to load ammo in your crossbow.
2. Use any bow skill to switch weapons (Lightning rod, for example).
3. Use the same crossbow skill that you used in step "1" -> you can see that crossbow skills don't work again.
4. Try using other types of ammo by pressing on them -> nothing happens, crossbow skills don't work.

Recreation steps 3 (proper wotk of switching):
1. Use any crossbow skill to load ammo in your crossbow.
2. Use any bow skill to switch weapons (Lightning rod, for example).
3. Use another crossbow skill (not the one used in step "1") to switch ammo type -> the weapon got switched and you can shoot crossbow skills as intended.

Expected behavior:
Switching weapons should not prevent players from using their skills.

Having this issue as well on PC, seems to be Crossbow weapon swaps in general, did a bit of testing.

Using a crossbow and quarterstaff, swapping to the quarterstaff works fine and executes the skills properly, swapping back to crossbow is bugged, weapon set swaps in inventory screen but cannot shoot, explosive grenade functions properly, loading/reloading an ammo type and then shooting seems to work, emergency reload activates and reloads the current ammo type but does not swap to crossbow and results in an even further bugged state where I can no longer change ammo types or shoot. It seems to be trying to change as my High Velocity Rounds with Hourglass does go onto cooldown but does not get loaded.

That is all the testing I did. Hope this gets fixed as not being able to weapon swap as the weapon swap Ascendancy is rather annoying.

yep i'm on witch. swapping weapon slot 1 to slot 2.

after that all skill can't be assign anymore.

is some of your gem skill tab not displaying information as well?

several others have issue with skill assign after swapping. or changing skill gem.

I`m fixed this issue with equipping standard crossbow skill to left click, after that all skills works correctly

Another way to prevent locking up is to manually switch to your crossbow using "X", waiting a split second for the weapon swap, and then continue firing bolts as usual.

Bump. I confirm, bug is still here and its very uncomfortable.

Can add that when that happens character switches to Xbow model but still trying to hold it like a bow... is that gona anyhow helps the devs. Bug is unfixable, unless u do what the guy above said - everytime after u used bow skills u need to switch your weapon manually, and then u can use your crossbow.

I found another way to fix that state if someone could find it more comfortable:
1. Shot bow
2. Press Xbow skill so u enter bugged state
3. Dodge right after that

and u can keep using xbow properly.

I encountered the same problem, if i swap to a different weapon to use a skill, and then switch back to crossbow, none of the crossbow abilities work anymore, i have to attempt to shoot the crossbow so it gets bugged, then dodge roll to "unbug" it
