I am forcing myself to play through this awful campaign experience

While I think the bosses are fine and the art is amazing... I have so many complaints and I've posted some of them already.

I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND HOW BORING THE BIG FAT STUPID ZONES ARE.

I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND THAT RESETTING ZONES ON DEATH IS NOT INTERESTING OR FUN.

I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS GAME BLOWS BECAUSE YOU ARE SO INVESTED IN FRICTION AND "WEIGHT" THAT YOU FORGOT WHAT GAMES ARE A FORM OF ESCAPISM AND ENTERTAINMENT.

You want the game to be slow? Tedious? Bland? You did it, you have achieved that goal.

I truly am playing more of the game just so people wont be able dismiss my extremely harsh critiques with handwaving and insults.

The game sucks, it isn't fun, it is boring and slow, the zones are extremely large and it adds absolutely nothing to the game except tedium.

The gem system sucks compared to poe 1, the passive tree sucks compared to poe 1, the moment to moment gameplay sucks compared to poe1.

Why don't gems level with your character now? Because F you, that's why.

Why are we limited to one of a support? Because F you, that's why.

Why is there no crafting bench? Because F you, that's why.

Why are there no movement skills? Because F you, that's why.

Why is the game so slow? Because F you, that's why.

There's 1 or 2 masochists in your studio calling the shots apparently because you SHOULD HAVE LEARNED THESE LESSONS THE FIRST TIME.

This game is like POE1 used to be when I chose to NOT PLAY IT for YEARS and it was NOT POPULAR except this is ACTUALLY WORSE.

I'm going to selectively engage with Op's post to raise something about the size of maps. It is true that zones do feel quite large. I feel that this is because of how slow it can be to get around, poor 'signposting', and the tedium of backtracking.

What I mean by signposting is, when I run a map, I want to clear the map. Which means checking every nook and dead end for loot. The problem is I have no way of knowing which way leads to the maps end, and which way leads to loot. Passages sprawl haphazardly. Sometimes there are checkpoints connected seemingly to nothing. This results in a lot of backtracking as I turn around to check the spaces I didn't look. If I haven't died, this means slowly jogging through a lot of empty zone, and if I did die it means slogging through the back-spawns since everything has returned.

As such I have a few suggestions.

1. Increase all player move-speed. It doesn't have to be by much - even just getting 10-15% move-speed boots feels like a world of difference. Enemy speeds already scale to the player. The issue then becomes the fact players have a much easier time moving out of enemy target or hazard zones, making positioning and roll conservancy less necessary. Frankly, given how many complaints there are about difficulty, I'm not so sure this would be a bad thing! Half the reason people feel so helpless is they cannot evade danger effectively due to roll cool-down. Increase base move speed by 10-20% and remove move-speed bonuses from loot items

2. Enemies should not re-spawn on player re-spawn. Zone bosses obviously should always reset, but once cleared an instance should stay cleared until that instance is reset. You complete a map, you reset the instance, you run it again. This is, I assume, how it is intended to be played. Having map spawns resurrect on death adds unnecessary tedium to a zone.

3. Work with proc-gen to make zones flow more reasonably, or, give players a way to teleport between way-points inside a map. It is my understanding such a system is already being worked on or anticipated. If this is true, fantastic.

This I feel will contribute to a faster pace and less downtime without sacrificing monster engagement.
I refuse to believe they play-tested this and thought "Yeah, people will like this."

Don't forget the streamers telling you they enjoy being killed over and over and playing the game like a snail that got cursed with temp chains.

Let us zoom out more. Bring back 32:9, Heist Alt Quality Gems, Gear Enchanting, Prophecy, Metamorph & Crucible. Stop removing content from the game. Stop nerfing everything. Stop making the game slow
