Way more regals and exalts need to drop during campaign
If you want people to craft during the campaign then you need to have currency dropping for them to do so. its near impossible to get good gear with the current system of regal shards per rare item disenchanted.
people are getting hard stuck in cruel because of their gear and being unable to out dps mobs or bosses because of it. the main issue is we have enough currency to make magic items but not rare items or add modifiers to them either im around level 65 myself after trying out multiple characters just for fun to see all the new combos and im still using lvl 20 gear for my highest character, because i dont have enough currency to craft anything better and anything i have crafted was just a swing and a miss with regal and exalt slamming during the campaign which again was very rarely. if this is a design choice for artificial difficulty then you are hardlocking many people out of endgame and putting it almost all down to rng of a very low loot drop pool. i understand the want for less loot compared to poe1 but this is way too much that its hindering progression into endgame for people. Agree with this.
I should be able to make incremental progress. As it sits right now, blue items get me currency to create more blue items. Seriously, did the person designing that just graduate from a game design course at community college? I'll farm stuff, if that is what it takes, but it has to be somewhat worth it, I have to be able to replace some of my gear after a farming session in a way that lends me to get stronger if that is what I need to make it past an overtuned boss. I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.
Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play. |

We also need orbs of scouring and orbs of alteration back. The chance of creating a magic item with proper mods is very small, I haven't had a single instance where it made sense to continue crafting after the first two mods. The only times I used a regal and/or exalt was when I found or bought an item that was already good and even then most of the results were disappointing.
Craft gambling in PoE2 is worse than in PoE1 and I the PoE1 system was bad enough. The only saving grace for PoE2 in that regard is that you no longer have to worry about the sockets/links anymore, so if you finally find a better item that suits your build stat-wise, you can just use it. |

Maybe that will be an unpopular opinion, but I completely disagree. A drop of orbs should be the same or at most 15-20% higher. I was able to craft some good stuff, but I was not able to check every single white item on my way. And I think that is very good. I do not want to have it that much, so I do not have to think about what I can spend it on.

Orb drops are pretty fine right now.

" +1 They are plenty enough. You are supposed to diversify your source of gearing, between purchases, gambling, drop and crafting. You can end up being unlucky, but with a little bit of perseverance, you'll end up with what you need. Last edited by Sampawende#6115 on Dec 13, 2024, 3:32:03 AM

I would like for them to drop more, for me specifically, I don't care about others at this point. Just me. I've gone through act 2 and now almost done with 3 and the lack of regals and exalts to upgrade gear has really been taking its toll on me.
Its anecdotal. But I've been pretty upset about my progress being abysmal from just pure bad luck with currency. This is what I've been running with for a while now: https://imgur.com/a/7Jw24ww I'm level 42 Rings haven't been dropping at all and I've not seen them on vendors in a while. Flasks, charms, crossbows, and bows, seem to drop ALL the damn time. Its been a rough go for me. I'd like for some of these unicorn drops people been getting to just blaze through content because I'm pretty tired of having one on one fights with every mob. |
