Please DON'T let PoE2 endgame devolve into THIS:

We alreade have a game for people who thinks it is fun, and it is called Path of Exile 1.

And before that it was MU, and soon there will be a MU 2 or MU 3, no idea where they are at.

GROSS.

While playing this game I was waiting for all mobs to start become immune to crowd control, or for monsters to become too easy, and I was so happy to see all the spells that were strong early and fun were still strong and useful all the way through so far.

I hope they don't lose sight of keeping mechanics sane even with crazy item builds to some degree, and that includes enemies posing a challenge.

We want to be able to zip around and do screen clearing stuff SOMETIMES, but not always.

Who is we? I doubt you speak for all POE1 players. If you did, then all POE1 players would have been playing Ruthless, which they werent. Just accept that your opinion is indeed in the minority, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I am a fan of balance in design.
An RPG should have fast, zippy classes or builds too, because everyone likes different things, BUT...

...if the whole game is zipping all the time everywhere, then not only does it lock out everyone who doesn't like it, but it also turns something cool and special into "the same thing everyone does".

One reason I want old MMORPGs back is because they had depth.
You like speed, there were classes that could zoom through the air.
You like tankiness? There were tanky classes.
You like hitting hard? There were classes summoning down comets, dealing so much damage they had to wait for the group to get the mob to 70% HP first or they would steal aggro.

Modern gaming is generic "everything for everyone all the time instantly" slop because the biggest market is, or was, impatient, immature kids who demand it that way.
But I think there is an argument to be made for ignoring such voices, just like people don't change the rules in sports just because kids don't like them.

You simply have to ignore their crying and hope they will mature soon.

Good lord this community is toxic and full of know it alls.

If making a good game was as simple as giving the players 2 buttons, one that zipped ot the exit, and the other that killed all enemies in the zone, it would be really easy to make a great game.

Games are about fun engagements and part of that is difficulty.

We can have a discussion about what balance is most fun, and how that difficulty should ramp and all that, but blanket saying that everyone wants to just run through a zone without a care in the world is crazy talk. Few want that, and the numbers don't lie. POE 2 is a resounding success.
I love it when a player that represents 1% of the community proceeds to speak on behalf of the entire community, using a video that represents another 1% of it as "proof".

POE1 was not tailor made for YOU sir, nor is POE2.

You can call POE1 gross all you'd like, but that game funded POE2, and the people who enabled that, IE the majority of returning players, will expect POE2 to have content to appeals to them.

The shocking news is, that content will DIFFER.
So no, you do not get to dictate what everyone or "the community" finds fun and engaging.

What you should do, is advocate for a game that fits both.
That can be solved in a few ways:
Content that scale in size, difficulty, pace and loot.
Different game mods that enable different experiences.
Different specific mechanics in game that enables different experiences.

What you should NOT do is wrap yourself in a dictators robe and proclaim what POE2 "must" and "Must not" do because you know best.
Looks like farming.
