Controller feels awful
Alright, so how on earth did you manage to program a way to target every monster except the one I'm trying to target? I'm using Contagion, Essence Drain, and Chaos bolt. These skills should be combo'd with eachother, but somehow you programmed it to auto target some random monster in the middle of a pack instead of the one in front of me.
I NEVER manage to hit the same monster with both Contagion and Essence drain. Instead i'll randomly swap to some other enemy. Like dude, how hard can it be to just target the closest monster? That's not even a perfect solution to the problem, but it would be 1000% better instead of the yolo rng targeting in place. Please for the love of god, make this shit better. It's damn near unplayable as it is. Last bumped on Dec 13, 2024, 12:08:12 AM

A way to probably improve the controller support:
Make the closest target more sticky, make switching targets only happen when you use the right stick to retarget an enemy. As it is, it rapidly changes targets and as a result it's near impossible to hurl a projectile at the same enemy twice. Last edited by Crixus1#1877 on Dec 12, 2024, 11:51:09 PM

Ya, I'm not playing a game like this with WASD. I need analog movement... but my only option for that is point and click or controller, and both suck majorly. They really need to fix this, because while the hardcore POE-lovers were probably gonna join the circle jerk regardless, the rest of the gaming public still needs to be convinced. And I don't think the control schemes available feel like a good gaming experience.

I agree, no way am I using WASD.
To add insult to injury, it's way too common for a skill to not even get cast at the highlighted target. Which HAS to be a bug. And in no circumstance do I want to spin 120 degrees to hit a mob half a screen away while there is a mob right in front of me. Yeah, controller really needs some more code into it to make it smarter, or just make the first enemy targeted stay targeted until you move the right stick. |
