Tourist Feedback for EA
Hello everyone who willing to read this.
FIRST AND FOREMOST TO CLARIFY i am not longstanding player, neither i am a pro. Just a guy who decided to try that game, after trying to play PoE1 few times, didn't work out. what i want, is to TRY to give my feedback, from "new" player. Let's Begin - GGG you did a great job with PoE 1, people liked it. me - not so. Too stupid, too lazy (me) for trade, for taking time. I will list thing that i liked in PoE2 that i liked compared to when i tried PoE1. Also sometimes it was cool watching those videos about PoE builds and etc. 1. easier respec. Literally - what turned me from PoE 1 is UNABILITY to respec your passive tree (when i tried). I am not fan of alts, i am not fan of making tons of character to "try". and i really hate "this character is ruined, start new". I prefer few characters that i "mine" and that's all. 2. Graphics - that one no question. Me personally i like good looking games. 3. enough "depths" for me to think. Sometime i can try to make something "work" in those games. not always work, but eh i CAN try sometimes 4. Slower gameplay I (i repeat - it's ME) prefer slower gameplay, compared to epilectic rainbow rushing to the end of things, like craziest (and sometimes most effective) builds. i want to "feel" the game, not make it like general tap games. (also same reason i don't like warframe). Now i would like to give direct feedback about things that i didn't like in particular 1. Abilities too restricted Compared to what i saw and read on wiki - you made abilities TOO tied to some weapon types. almost like Diablo or Lost Ark. Maybe it's too early and we will see stuff that you can use mace skills with staves, axes (maybe), flails and etc, but really - some abilities TOO tied to them. PoE was liked for almost "total" freedom, don't restrict playes too much please, some ascendancies already doo it. 2. Ascendancy challenges oh boy, i think many people will say it, and sadly this one i repeat. TOO MUCH. For a new player who jumped on bandwagon it's hard. especially if you are melee build. We need some challenge for "melee" people to earn their classes, not punish them this much. And probably not make them wait till act 4. Let people have first 2-4 points in their ascendancy classes a little bit easier (not dumb down completely, but easier) 3. Respec price As much as i liked it in pros, there is con. A little too pricy, especially with need to get loot from vendors. My personal suggestion would be reduce it for about 30% maybe. 4. Bosses as melee. As a warrior i felt it SOOO MUCH, how hard can be bosses in melee. Minions can take punishment for you in example, but as "melee" you are alone. first act boss just bite your backside so hard, that you have only ears left. Not ask to nerf them to the ground, but need to make some ajustements maybe either for class or boss maybe. 4.5 Passive tree i can be wrong, but even if passive tree still looks massive... it's a littel dull for current state, especially since all calsses start closer to one place, and "walk" on just "two" ways till branching start. Not ask to make PoE1 tree, but some "meat" wanted to be there. Final words Many people said that some things were made too simple, like how ailment works now. I am not guy who know this stuff - so pleace listen to people who played your game too (probably more). they wanted "fresh" game that will be closer to one they liked. Of course you have your vision, maybe keep PoE1 for those who want hardcore, and this game for more "casual (haha bosses not agree) players. I won't be telling about balance (as for player power and nerf of abilities) now, since it's just a week into EA, and thing can be drastically different in the final game. But just. Be good to your players. They made you like now, don't be silent western dev who "i know better" always. On this the FEEDBACK i end. Thanks for readin, and i don't know if devs can take this feedback Further down i add few things that i want/can ask as just simple person to see in games that i am interested, but it's not about vision or balance. it's fluff/class style

Just as suggestion, since we still not saw all classes and ascendancies.
What i would like to see is "Death Knight" style ascendancy for some of melee classes. Let witch be pure necromancer with army of minions. I would like to see something more like melee character who have small pack of skellies/temporary I can give some ideas as if - your character and your minions are buffed by being near Bleeding/Poisoned enemy (either by damage - hunger style, or harder to kill, since he heal from bleed damage). Maybe keystone for that ascendancy. - Your minions are harder to kill while you near them, and you harder to kill too. - your attacks can empower them, as they can empower you. - using them as "suicide" bombs constantly to summon new ones. and yes i saw that Templar had his "pet". But i personally enjoy "dark" side for myself. Would appreciate if i see something like that for PoE2. Thanks in advance. Warrior feedback
Now i remembered something i would like to add about feedback. Played warrior, not touched other classes (yet, or maybe won't touch, depends on mood). Feedback will be kinda small, but what i say. Every warrior skill looks "stunning". But all of them "kinda similar". You don't have "general" ability that you use most of the time, you "prepare" for big bonk. Looks cool on paper, but execution can be rough. Gameplay Warrior is cool on paper, but currently very rough in execution. unless Mobs are slow - you are easily swarmed, and not very tough and die quickly. We need some stuff that can allow us "breathe" chance before we BONK stuff, or bonk faster. Passives that slow our attack speed are themed (harder hit, slower), but really can mean death. Fluff Warrior - themes: Blacksmith, Fire, Hammer, Earth, Heavy armmor, Ancestors, Strong 1. Earth - nothing in particular. theme is there, works well, but maybe need some variety 2. Heavy armor - it's there, but no "skills" that work aroun it. Maybe need really defensive skill usable apart from Jade in ascendancy. 3. Blacksmith - one skill. And it's highest level one, and it's "hammer from sky". Not enough really. 4. Fire - again one skill. i can expect that we wait few druid skills (like that volcano) to work with, but currently really theme only in passives. 5. Hammer - again one (or two) skills. Boneshatter and Hammer of the Gods. Would like to see some more. 6. Ancestors - totems there, buffs there. I guess enough, but maybe can be done some more. conclusion: we probably need to wait for druid stuff to be released, and maybe marauder and dueslist (so we can branch into their stuff if it's not require weapons/shapeshift), and maybe last ascendancy, but currently some themes are missing from warrior. Hope you can deliver, cause when i fest that one boss in The Molten Vault - i really felt like i was fightning another "warior".

personal gripe: i don't like hammer of the gods being the boss killer. I am "warrior", i want to kill them myself, not wait for some "god" send their stuff onto enemy head. Really don't like that there, but it's me.
