It’s not fun.

I actually enjoyed the Diablo 4 Beta— this game not at all. I haven’t had one moment where I’m like “oh hey now I’m having a good time”.

The people who feign enjoying the game are virtue signaling that they enjoy a challenge. If you enjoy a challenge go hike mt Everest. I want to enjoy games not pretend I like lifting mental weights.

A game for everyone is a game for no one.

I played A LOT of Diablo IV, and I'm personally enjoying everything POE 2 offers.

There are a lot of things they need to improve on for sure. But the game has been super enjoyable for me personally.

It's a subjective topic. Either it hasn't clicked for you yet, or it just may not be your type of game.
I'm only in Act2 now, but for me, PoE2 already feels like the best ARPG I played since D2. Mostly because it is less polluted with quick dopamine traps, MMO-style daylie quests, event popups and other addicting crap that makes you want to play even tho the game isn't really good, it's just giving you dopamine boosts so you want to keep playing.

D3 and D4 were far more addicting, but felt less challenging and less rewarding despite dropping 10x more loot. I also feel like the useless loot is less useless than in other games.

This is the first game where I actually feel like how some people describe their Elden-Ring journey. Challenging bosses, but also a rewarding experience when you finally beat them.

I readily admit that it is less entertaining and FOMO-generating than most other ARPGs, but at the same time it feels more enjoyable and immersive. I feel like I'm sinking into the game when running through a huge map for 30 minutes - even tho the loading screens wrecks that immersion sometimes.

I think it would make sense for GGG to keep PoE1 and PoE2 alive and keep developing them, because I think the target audience is very different for those games.

I also want to point out the obviously nonsensical statement regarding hiking mt everest. Obviously, people usually only enjoy challenges in topics they are actually interested in...

Btw, I'm sure they will add an easier difficulty mode for people who just want to enjoy the story, but I really hope they won't turn this into another braindead autoclicker like D4 turned into.
I felt the same through Act 2, pHySSiX#7033. It wasn't until Act 3 on my Warrior and Maps on my Sorceress that I hit the wall suddenly.
