Honor Ascension for a Pure Melee build
I literally don't have any ranged attacks at all.
And I don't want any ranged attacks either. That was the whole point of building a mega tank. Apparantly it is honoarable to run around and not get hit instead of being an actual warrior class. Make me fight 10 bosses in a row. Anything else than this so called honor. For a warrior this trial has nothing to do with honor. Make my ascension based on the quality of the character I actually built in combat. Instead it's a no hit run. This is such a bizarre design decision. Last bumped on Dec 12, 2024, 3:01:09 PM

sanctum on its own is fine but dont make it a major requirement especially because things like thorns seem to be buffed and players potentially wanting to try that as well as retaliation skills from poe1 potentially being added to 2. sanctum especially favors fast clear and ranged attacks and in my opinion doesnt fit well with poe2 atm. it can have its place in the game for fast grinders but for the average slow joe it should simply have the honor mechanic removed, maybe just for the first one so players can then choose to only do ultimatum |

This somehow reminded me of Space Marine 2. In that game, when you take damage your hp turn into “contested hp” which you are allowed to recoup by damaging enemies fast enough and hard enough. I think poe can do similar to honor so melee isn’t just doomed on arrival. It also doesn’t nullify the intended 1 honor challenge relic.

The honor mechanic is actively not fun in the way escort missions or water levels are not fun.
