Infernalist Passive Tree Interactions Help

Hi, newbie here, and need advice on how passives interact with one another. I am currently in act 3 as infernalist but its getting to feel very glass cannon and i would like to try to mitigate that. Anyone who can help with the following is greatly appreciated!

1. Eldritch Battery (EB) + Mind Over Matter (MoM) + Altered Flesh (AF)

Given that altered flesh takes 20% physical damage as chaos damage, since EB changes Energy Shield (ES) to Mana and MoM makes it such that all damage is taken from Mana before Life, I assume chaos damage will not deal double damage to my Mana since its not ES anymore?

2. EB + Nodes that give +x% ES

Can i assume those nodes will still contribute to my ES pool and are converted to Mana? All other ES interactions will not longer work though? (e.g. ES recharge rate)

3. Items with ES and/or +%ES affixes with EB

Will these add on to ES and be converted to Mana via EB?

4. Items/Nodes with Mana Regeneration Rate

These will scale off the total Mana pool from EB? Or its base mana values before EB? I assume its the former?
