Archnemesis isn't numbers problem. It's bad design from ground up.
I thought PoE2 goal was bring back monsters into focus not ground effects. Archnemesis was bad for PoE 1, but in PoE 2 is just terrible. You took away movement, gave long animations and delays in damage, but game forces you to move from degen pools, orbs on death explosions, lighting boys, mana siphons.
Especially that you have brilliant monsters design that can serve same purpose, but without being annoying. Meteor Caster. It's amazing threat. You see him, you know it's like 80%-100% hit. It's Archnemesis you want without any BS. It just needs visual indicator that is actually visible. Falling Skeleton Giant. Another hard hit that visually comes from monster design. Unfortunately I suspect that GGG will make assbackwards decision and nerfs Meteor Caster making him just a Background and will keep anonymous colorful orbs that can come from every rare.
