skill tree wont let me put stats. resets, changes stats for no reason

this time ive lost like 30 attributes FROM TAKING A MINION NODE OFF THE TREE. wtaf is ghoing on. i have to now respec my whole tree. this means what 3 weeks of playing for 8 hours a day to get gold?
WHY CANT
i RESPEC MY TREE? EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE.
im getting so frustrated.... this is the bumbest skill tree set up i have ever seen. NO WHERE DOES IT TELL ME WHAT IM SPECING INTO.
