Personally disagree with the above.

I like both poe 1 system of regret orbs and poe 2's system of paying gold. I think it's perfectly acceptable to have an accessible cost to refunding passives in the skill tree.

I agree it should be free. If ppl want their decisions to have weight, then opt out of the respec system. Players should be able to explore and learn the game at their own pace. I don't want to be looking at guides.

The current system punishes players to make mistakes. It's not fun having to make a whole new character because you found a different item that's better. I should be able to respec accordingly.

If we got rid of portal scrolls, then get rid of repec cost. It makes no sense bcuz we can respec gems without a cost....Make it make sense.

i need GGG to explain what the big deal with not being able to respec is.
Why do you want me to waste my time just so i can try a different build?

I think that it's just a gold sink to prevent inflation, but while they're re drastically altering builds and drops, the price should be reduced.

if this is the reason I am quite confident that GGG can figure out something else to take gold out of the pocket.

anything that doesnt quite literally have the capability of bricking a players build or not letting them fix their mistakes. just feels... off
