Whispers of Doom + Blasphemy

So I've been running blasphemy with despair and enfeeble and both seem to be applying on targets without this node. I picked it up to test and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

I'm curious if this node doesn't work with blasphemy since the aura's are getting applied constantly. I'm also running Hexblast at the moment. It seems to work well. I'm dead set on making ED/Contagion work on blood mage. So I took the crit nodes (only two trials done so far) to support hexblast.
