PoE 2 Brutality & Poison

Brutality support states
"Supported skills deal no chaos damage"

Poison states:
"the base magnitude of poison is chaos damage per second equal to 20% of the physical damage + chaos damage dealt by the hit that inflicted it"

My assumption had been that poison was an ailment that is added post damage. But, in reality, it seems that the engine considers poison's "chaos damage" as part of the damage of the supported skill, and so Brutality support cancels it out, and you cannot poison enemies.
If the "no chaos damage" from brutality support prevents poison from being added to a supported skill, I feel like it would be wise to add that into it's descriptive texts as well.

I'm not sure if this is intentional, as I could easily see this as working as intended.
