Watchful Twins Side boss

I do not understand the design and choices behind these kind of bosses. My frustration came from the fact that they can have any sort of modifiers on them. I met a pair with temporal and some damage modifiers which made me unable to escape at all. I couldn't kite nor run away. What makes it worst is you can see the mob's modifiers before deicing if you are going to engage. Sure, Im in SC i can just die and reroll the mods but what about those in HC ? You have 0 idea what the mobs are spawning with. What happens if Temporal + hasted or something like that ? What is the counter play ? DONT fight it ?
