Is Chaos Elemental Damage?

I know Chaos is a damage type but is it elemental damage?
I know in POE 1 it is not, but things could be different and I thought I read that Chaos is one of the elements somewhere. Would love someone to confirm and not guess I was hoping to go Chaos/Blood Barbs as other elements don't look right aesthetically on my blood mage. Elemental damage is *specifically* fire, cold and lightning - chaos damage only benefits from modifiers to chaos damage and non-elemental damage.
