PS5 controller double input

Unable to play with controller as application believes I have two controllers connected and only allows couch coop mode. Thought was it an issue with DS4 but it occurs even with it off. When I login with by clicking on profile with mouse in controller mode, I am able to use the controller but my L2 and R2 buttons do not register.
