I like this game better than Diablo 2

I’ve never said that about any ARPG, but I believe this game actually exceeds it and finally gives a worthy successor.

If GGG sticks to its vision for POE2, it will be a game we’re talking about in 20 years: imagine Diablo 2 with monetization to catch generations of entranced whales. Diablo 2 with new acts worth of content added every so often.

But if GGG caves to populist stupidity: to the slack jawed masses with no taste or understanding of vision, easily manipulated by bad actors from rival companies who want this game to be forgotten as soon as possible, it’s done.

Art with vision captures and creates audiences. It attracts understanding people who become tastemakers for others. But it’s also divisive, because not everyone appreciates every form of art.

This game is objectively next-level good regardless of what some people are saying, and there are audiences that have been without something like it for too long. It can be refined in terms of its vision, but to water it down would be tragic.

Game should not be balanced around the minority. It’s a game studio and they need players to generate income that can be reinvested into development. End of story. Jus because the game is easy for some doesn’t mean they should ignore the larger majority who are struggling, and having a really rough time in end game with map sustain and high map progression for the sole reason only 2 specs can do it with life stacking.
