DELETE SANCTUM
It's EA for a reason, obviously, but when seen as feedback, I agree. I'm afraid of even trying now, and that can't be good.

I've literally uninstalled because of Sanctum/Ultimatum being what locks ascendancy, but I think deletion is wrong. Simply move ascendancy to something less RNG-locked. If they're dead-set on keeping the horrendous game-mode, steeply lower the amount of curses and nerf the down-sides within them within the mandatory content.
Because it is absolutely mandatory. Instead of this moronic "Get drops to do" version. A better idea would be, like lab, have the first three be quest-tied, and have nerfed versions of the content. The last one could still be "hard" like Uber lab. Last edited by ForestOwls#6539 on Dec 11, 2024, 12:54:01 PM

+1. I have never wanted to run a lab so hard in my life. PoE2 ascension is absolute trash

Yeah both methods of ascending sucks bad.

Everyone except one streamer agrees with you.

No please. It's hands down the stupidest design they've done.

Sanctum is the best decision devs ever made to this game.
Lab can be added as 3rd option to ascend for those that can't follow along the spinning fire things. |

I absolutly hate Sanctum mechanics. I already did when it was a league, and I stopped playing that league after encountering the first sanctum.
I actually enjoyed the lab quite a bit, I thought it was one of the most fun mechanics in the game. |

What’s absurd is they gate these massively important nodes for all characters behind mechanics that are wildly tilted against certain classes and are complete RNG luck of the draw. You could be the most skillful player ever and in a 10 round Ultimatum simply get a set of options guaranteed to brick your run no matter what.
They should simply make ascension trials an X round boss rush. Every class is on the same level playing field and the trial would actually be a test of skill versus luck. It boggles the mind they thought a mechanic (Sekhema) that effectively forces melee classes to do a no hit run through like 24 stages and 3 boss fights would be enjoyable |

" They already tried many of these things in PoE1 and they failed there for reasons. |
