Darkness and Honour

Just a thing I was wondering about if somebody knows:

How is the loss of honour calculated in the Trial of the Sekhemas? Is it based on getting hit or based on damage you're receiving to your HP/ES?

Would "Embrace the Darkness" from the Monk's Acolyte of Chayula mitigate honour loss since it replaces damage with darkness reservation?

Could this make a darkness monk a decent farming strat for late game trials of the sekhema?
