unable to drop sacrificial heart for skill points

looted both the normal and cruel versions but did not turn it in. dropped it on floor to make inventory space because i was too weak to comfortably complete it. came back to the area in hopes to find it again to gain the skill points. full cleared but no drop. please fix.

I would not try to finish this quest.
After I did them (first cruel then normal) my quest progress is completely f'd up. I can't enter endgame since the game thinks I didn't finish the campaign.

UPDATE: after servers went back up i figured i give it another go.
tldr -> managed to get the skill points, unsure if it was a bug to begin with or user error.

went to Act 3 full cleared utzaal. no sacrificial heart drop. full cleared aggorat. found the altar, and for some reason it let me click the altar when i had no heart and let me stab it for skill points.

so i went back to Act 6, this time assuming the game remembered that i had it. went straight to the altar but it told me i needed the heart. so i went back to utzaal full cleared, and finally it did drop the heart. was able to stab it and get points from this one too.
