Cannot Summon Any Minions - Even after restart of game

I cannot summon any minions at all after I did the Trial of Chaos and got a red ring debuff around my character. I have restarted the client and it does nothing. I've removed all skill gems, gear, killed myself, and still can't summon a single minion at all period. Nothing is working at all, so I guess I am shutting the game off entirely until this is fixed. I cannot play period.
