Quick question about Acolyte of Chayula ascended passive

I went into reality rending for a quick dps buff, but when I hover over it, it's saying no skills affected (running tempest flurry but not even quarterstaff strike is showing) is it working or do I need a diff skill to go with it?

Should be working, because it's a % chance for extra damage the tooltip may ignore it until you land the strike
