Chimeral Wetlands - part of the map is blocked

In my instance of the wetlands, part of the map was blocked by a big tree. There was no way around it. I explored everything else and it seems both the chimera and the machinarium were in the inaccessible part of the area. Edit: I was able to get across using leap slam (there was a pond next to the tree) but it's still a bug. It shouldn't require a movement skill.
