PS5 Constant Pausing

Is there a resolution to the issue with constant pausing in-game? It looks like my ping is spiking to 1000ms when this happens and I'm on a wireless connection.

Ideally I'd like to make the wireless connection to work since my router is a little far from the TV.

Edit: I've tried the gateway update already and it doesn't seem to help.
