Loot/crafting Feedback
The joy I get from looting an exalt/regal/etc pales in comparison to the despair I feel when I use one of these items and it turns my item into vendor fodder.
I already won the lottery when I got the exalt/regal/chaos... I won the lottery again when the base item I wanted dropped. So why does it feel like I need to win the lottery 15 times in a row in order to get a piece of gear that is just serviceable? I'm not asking for crazy loot. I level'd up, I killed enemies that drop a new base item... I want to equip a new base item that is better than the previous base item. All I need for the item to work is life/resists. That's it. The whole goal here is to make the game more accessible, yeah? Why are basic mandatory stats hard to get? A base item upgrade should just be an upgrade. That's how progression works. I feel like I'm playing DnD with an awful DM. I pass my stealth roll, and then the DM is like "Do another stealth check because the wind blew." over and over until I inevitably fail, and then they call in the guards and kill my character because I failed a single roll. TL:DR -- I really think life/es/resists need to be the most common stats to roll on gear -- and the higher the ilvl the item is the better the tier range it can roll. There is no reason for items you get at level 50 to be as useless as items that dropped at level 10. We should be raising the floor. This game is a beautiful piece of work, and yall are stopping most people from getting to appreciate it fully by hiding 90% of the game behind an RNG pyramid. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 11:25:11 AM

my tip as a ssf enjoyer- its hard to start with a gear dependant build unless you feeling lucky. good idea is to roll a caster of some sort and get some gear for your gear dependent char first. this was the strat i followed before poe1 turned into a ctr+A+del, end no ruthless was not even close
