POE 2: the state of the game
So lets start off with what I enjoy about the game as someone that is now in the middle of act 2:
- I have been playing a warrior and so far the game feels amazing the combat is smooth and the skills feel fun to use. - I enjoy that I can now change my skill tree at moments notice and that the tree is now bigger giving more variability to play styles. - All of the bosses so far had amazing move sets, animations and design. - Early item drops feel right the amount and quality is quite good - The world and maps are amazingly designed like I wasn't expecting this game to look so good - Skill gems drop often enough and they are a welcome change now we just have to wait for GGG to add more skill which I have no doubt they are already working on Now lets get to the more important bad things: - Enemies especially bosses take too long to kill, they just have too much armor or health making one boss take up to 15 minutes to kill and I'm not even counting when I die because of a mistake: like for example Balbala she took me that long and it was not fun because of the constant teleports I could list more bosses but that would take a lot of time. - From what I heard drops don't improve later on so not enough items and currencies - Maps could take about 15% less time to clear compared to what they take now I think longer maps is a good change but in this state its a bit too much so faster movement or smaller maps would be a good change - Hits not registering properly for example with the rolling slam I see that I hit my enemy and do no damage, this is an issue mostly with the first slam the second connects more often but it could still use improvements - More currencies would be a welcome addition, we for sure don't want as many currencies as there are in poe1 but now it feels empty maybe some more early game currencies or late game ones, this would also help in improving the drops as early currencies would have to drop more later on - The game is too hard early on, act 1 doesn't need to be that hard especially sice that hurts the casual players that don't interact with the forums and the community. I myself welcome the challenge but I can see people quitting because of it These are just my experiences but I believe a lot of people feel the same, GGG is on of those studios that actually listens so I have no doubt that in a few months most of these issues will be solved one way or another Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 10:10:13 AM
