LF Chaos Monk Build

Hey guys,

I really like the idea of a Chaos Monk - i am new to POE ive made a strong lightning monk build.

Has anyone got any tips for chaos monk builds?

Well, short answer is, here is no Chaos Monk build.

I'm playing ED Contagion, Acolyte of Chayula and it's kinda bad.
Other option could be Bow poison build which I want to try in future, but for now I wouldn't recommend it.

Most of this doesn’t work with chayula because these skills don’t actually hit the enemy, they are damage over time. You’re left with a small amount of extra chaos damage from the breach buff with no other benefits from the ascendancy. I think poison bow has potential but it’s also a worse version of pathfinder 10-12 poison build with only 4-6 poisons.

I’m working on a build guide for chaos monk… The TLDR is you use elemental staff skills/tempest bell and stack crit, evasion, hp recoup, inc dmg after a crit, and attack damage. The reason for this is that the crit and attack damage modifiers increase the base physical damage, then the elemental damage after conversion, then the extra chaos damage added.

In general chayula is the worst ascendancy and has almost no synergy with anything, the mana leech is useless, and any items/skills they thought would bring this build together probably aren't in the game yet.

I'm baffled they released this ascendancy and locked being able to change it like you could in the first time. If they're gonna set us up for failure at least give us a way out
