Act 3 Bosses
While it's clear act 1 had the most put into it, and boss quality dropped off a little in act 2, I find a lot of the bosses in act 3 are just not fun, or have things that prevent them from being fun.
Chimera is a neat fight, but there's a lot of plants on the ground that obscure the ground effects and the pillars need to be a lot more responsive, because he has to wait for his scripted attack to finish for some reason (Bosses should immediately be able to be stunned out of attacks, they shouldn't get delayed by anything.) The lizard guy in the map directly after Chimera is an absolute monstrosity of unfinished things and bad design. His ground aoe's track after being launched, are grey on grey, the hitbox may not correctly ine up (Can't tell, too grey) and multiple attacks are bugged. Here's a list. - Firebreath can only sometimes be rolled over - Fire mace swing is too wide of an arc, and the hitbox does not visually match where his weapon is. And here's some other things that should be changed: - Fire circle when doing his projectile thingy should vanish when he's not using the skill - Basic slam attack can change angles after it's been launched. - The fast attack should be removed. The reason why that last one is there is because currently the boss is a check to see if you can break his ankles by making him turn around. The quick knockback attack deals no damage, is far too fast and stretches out the breaking of his ankles. Temple guardian is just hilariously easy. He's weak to having his ankles broken, once again but this time he has no answer. He's got these big windup attacks but they don't become threatening until he's low, and most of the time he didn't really seem to fight back. Ultimatum boss the Sky Seer stuns on every hit. Why. Barely anything else in the game is capable of stunning me with regular attacks. I do think that these bosses (With exception of mr stone lizard) can be patched up just fine with a balancing path/some smoothing over. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 5:18:04 AM

On my second char I reached act 3 without a single death, and I'm currently completely avoiding the monkey, the lizard statue thing and, unfortunately, ultimatum.
If I can get through everything before these bosses deathless, but they are completely destroying me, is that a skill issue or does that mean they may be overpowered? |

Act 1 was definitely the best, I had lots of fun playing it again a second time. Pacing is much better too between maps and boss, act 3 it feels like maps stretch out endlessly..
