I wish we could better separate the game forums
The growing animosity between the two communities will only get worse and too many people are using the regular general discussion forum of POE1 for both games making it a total cluster.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 7:09:55 PM

poe1 is going to die so does it really matter? not sure how anyone is buying their lies about continuing support for that game. they financed poe2 on the backs of poe1 players and then made a game that poe1 players dont want to play, all the while leaving a few forgotten employees on a skeleton crew for the last couple of leagues.
in a year or two they will end support for poe1 leagues, just watch |

" So? Poe1 is so great and amazing, it doesn't need leagues. |

I second this.
These forums have become a cesspool since EA started. The amount of elitist, condescending and toxic posts boggles the mind, and makes one feel sick. Reddit (even back in kalandra and 3.15 nerf manifesto days) appears to be a gathering of Buddhist monks in some Japanese zen garden compared to what is going on here. |

Kinda agree, but also PoE 1 discussion here often feels pretty dead - especially so late in the league.

" It won't, over time players will come to terms with the identity of both games and will no longer expect them to look like each other. Its just right now PoE2 is a surprise to all of us, we don't really know the developers intent and we also don't know how it will look when actually finished (or lets call it 1.0 as its a live service so is never finished) As a result its easy to say it should be more or less like 1 depending on your take because we really don't know. |

By his own words POE2 is the brainchild of d2 and elden ring.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

" Funny because i think the same for PoE2. With PoE1 players supporting PoE1 for almost 12 years and a lot of them disapointed by PoE2 (like me), i don't think PoE1 will die soon. I'm curious to see how all these new PoE2 players will support PoE2 for years like PoE1 players did with PoE1 for more than a decade... |
