Suggestion - Let us reuse character names

I think it would be nice to finally be able to reuse our "battle name" for all our characters.
I use the same name for all my main characters whenever I start a new game, since I started with WoW, 20 yers ago. But this time, I can't, because the same name is already in use for a character in PoE 1.

I would love to keep using the name, rather than finding my way around the limitation every time.
i.e. my Witch is Necrobit, and I would like every other Witch I create (for example to try both ascensions) to use the same name, rather than Nectrobittwo, Necrobittttt, N3cr0b17, etc etc.
It also helps my friends to find me.

It shouldn't be too hard to implement, as it's simply a matter of giving every character a unique ID or token in the database to identify them, rather than relying on the name. This way, even if I create 20 characters with the same name, they would still remain unique in the dabatabse.

To implement a restriction, the limitation could be at the account level, meaning that once a name is created, only the account that created it can use it for all their characters (thus avoiding the same name being present in the game more than once at any given time, or two people using the same name).

Impossible because in an online game your name = your reputation!

PoE1 and PoE2 are 2 different games, surely I can use the same name for my main character in the new game.

Also, both games basically restart every season (league), so what rep?
