POE2 Blood Mage Sanguimancy Node needs to be reworked

I will start by saying this game looks amazing, and I have had fun so far while playing.

I am playing an elemental Witch, around level 31 at the moment. I have ascended to Blood Mage and selected the first two nodes because that is all that all that is available. Now I have to rely on my weapon's attacks to play, because the mana + life cost is too great and Remnants cannot sustain you.

Boss fights are much harder because I can't cast too many spells, or I will die due to the life cost. When Remnants DO spawn due to critical hits, they can spawn in awkward places that you cannot reach because you are body blocked (the dodge roll does not phase through enemies), or they are flat out inside of a boss in an unreachable spot.

Remnants also are barely enough to sustain your life pool on packs of common monsters, let alone over-cap your health pool. I have never seen this part of the Sanguimancy mechanic because it only takes a 3 spell combo to go down to half of my total life pool.

I think my only option is to work a large amount of life regeneration in just to feel like I never ascended at all.

My feedback would be to please eliminate the Remnants mechanic altogether and rework this ascendancy node because it does not work well.

I wish they swap the life remnants for the leech in sanguimancy... that way you would be able to ascend properly. The way it is you can't allocate the ascendacy points until 70~80ish.
yeah taking it feels actively bad, not only your skills cost life they also force to run around and gather bubbles, quit my witch after seeing how it works, how bad the trial was and how ascendancy wont work the way i hoped with my build


probably the only ascendancy you are worse taking than not taking.
