Body Rune Not Providing Life Leech in 2h Mace

After doing a bit of testing, getting hit, and hitting back, it seems like the Body rune is not providing life leech when socketed into a martial weapon like it should.

For reference, this lack of leeching also does not appear to update the stat sheet for abilities.

I have 80% increased leech from the tree + slower leech speed, so it should be relatively easy to pick it out in my active healing sources in my character sheet, but I don't see it except for when I leap slam (which is linked to a life leech gem).

If relevant, my weapon is an Advanced Forge Maul, with two sockets, one an iron rune, one a body rune. Character is a blood mage.

All leech sources in the game are not working atm...
