Global Chat and SSF Global Chat are seperate

in poe1 global chat was merged for both the "standard" version of a league and the ssf version of that league.

In poe2 they are seperate. Is this intended or just an oversight? I'd like to hang out in Global Chat with my Trade friends since the guild slots are limited.

This is actually a big problem and does split up communities.

Please GGG, let us keep our communities from PoE1 together, SSF and trade both. Those communities are what makes the game fun for most of us and helps keep the long term motivation high.

Agree. SSF chat is empty and I can't talk to my friends in global chat...
That sounds amazing lol. BRB making a SSF character.
How do you play SSF?
Dont see it in character selction
It's a bit weird, you have to select either standard or hardcore and when you choose which class you pick you can choose ssf versions in the dropdown menu

I'm agreeing with this. SSF channel has always been my go to as a 95% self-reliant player and just recently started my SSF journey on PoE1. SSF players have vast knowledge of the game, always been humble and helpful towards people wanting to learn and improve their gameplays. The fact they segregated SSF players and Trade players is harmful to the community, these channels start to feel empty and pointless. What's the point of having channels if we cannot form a community? 90% of global channels are generally toxic, but SSF channel has always been good to me. Do revert this for PoE2. Don't keep making odd decisions in this game

Just a speculatory question -

Can you not switch channels?
i usually hang out in a specific global chat, people from my guild are in that channel aswell. we tested it, in ssf we can't see the messages from the people not in ssf although we are in the same global channel
