Map explored going back to unexplored.

Dying or entering the area again makes the map not explored and black.
This is insane, they areas are huge!!! And now losing the already revealed map makes it unplayable. One area took me 1 hour to find the quest items.
Ridiculous!!!!

Hi, unrelated to your problem but I seem to be the only person with this problem are you able to access your hideout on ps5 ? For me whenever I click on “Travel to hideout” my game simply freezes I can’t do anything

Make sure you aren't creating a new instance each time you re-enter. I was making this mistake.

To re-enter without creating a new instance, just tap "X" to enter. Do not hold X.

That being said, dying and re-spawning at a checkpoint should not be resetting the zone, so that indeed may be a bug.
