Marks cannot apply to multiple enemies at once; Frozen Mark nova not triggering

The description for Marks say they can be applied to multiple enemies at once, but a single enemy cannot have more than one mark. However the first part doesn't seem to be correct, since as soon as I mark another enemy, the mark disappears on the previously marked one.

I am using Freezing Mark with Cast on Ignite. When I selfcast the mark, the same behaviour is observed, the mark can only be on one enemy at once.

Furthermore, for Freezing Mark specifically, the nova that is supposed to be triggered upon death isn't working; I've tried it multiple times and the nova never triggered. Maybe the enemy needs to be frozen when it dies for it to be cast? But if so, it isn't specified anywhere in the description.

I was trying to make heads or tails of Marks myself. The limit may be working as intended, but a bit confusing for PoE players.

Imagine Limit 1 Mark target is the limit from that Mark's "perspective". So it can only be in one place at one time.

If you use two different Marks, each can be on its own monster.

If you add Overabundance (+1 Limit) to one of the Marks, now that Mark can be on two monsters at once.

I would have liked to further test how Deadeye You can apply an additional Mark works with all this, but I decided against taking the node. It presumably breaks the 1-Mark-per-monster rule. So in the example above you could put e.g. Sniper's Mark & Freezing Mark on one monster.

As for the Freezing Mark issue, that's what I came here to report as well. Freezing Mark does not do what it says on the tin. Seems it requires the Marked target to be frozen when it dies in order to explode. This is not indicated anywhere in the skill description. Further testing, it doesn't look like frozen Marked mobs explode either.

Note that I'm a pure spellcaster, and Marks seem to be possibly/maybe intended for Attacks, and thus there might be some hidden stuff preventing this doing anything for casters. Might just be missing an "Attack" keyword in the yellow skill description somewhere.
