Why are people complaining that two different games are different?

Hello,

I see so many complaints that PoE 2 is different than PoE. Why is that the case?

It was communicated for years, that PoE 2 will be a different game. Complaining about the differences is like sitting in a car and complaining that is does not fly. Well yes of course, a car is not an airplane. What did you expect?

Another type of complaints I see are just skill issues. Like, trying to ignore all monsters, running in circles, collecting all enemies. Then, the logical outcomes happens. The player gets surrounded and dies. And of course the player complains about the logical, expected outcome of their actions.

Another thing I saw yesterday, complaining that an attack is not a movement skill, in a game without movement skills. In PoE 2 movement skills were removed. Leap Slam is just an attack and works as such. Yet again, the expected behavior. Still, someone complains that an attack is not working like a movement skill.

None of this makes any sense.

There is some legitimate critique and feedback. As it is expected for early access. But 95% of the complaints are just nonsensical. Why is that the case?

By all means, everybody can like or dislike the game. That is personal preference. But I am a logical person and most of the threads/comments just defy logic.

I dunno man, probably for the same reason every single person makes their own thread on the forum instead of joining forces and all posting threads that are relevant to what they they're trying to communicate already.

The quality of feedback on these forums is somewhat lacking, everybody just chimes in with a pithy one line response as a form of trolling and quite frankly I blame the youths.

Hello, let me introduce you to humans. :)

Most of the complaints will die dowm when people either decide to put effort into adapting or leave. It should solve itself.

I for one think this game is just what this genre needed. It was getting stale.

Because they are stuck in the past and unwilling to change, so forget them
Simple: the hardcore PoE 1 player base is both entitled and reluctant to change.

And the vocal minority has been crying and drowning any discourse around the game since it got released, while everybody else is too busy being logged in and enjoying PoE 2.
