About the hate
you’ve got to be joking. Sure, this game is a significant step up in difficulty compared to the first, but calling it “bad” or “a disaster” because you’re struggling with it? That feels more like a personal skill issue than an actual flaw in the game’s design.
The increased difficulty is amazing. It forces you to adapt, experiment, and really engage with the mechanics. The first game literally had me walking through the entire game ( until endgame ) by barely dodging attacks because builds were stupid broken. The content is immense. There’s so much to explore, test, and master. The bosses are incredibly well-designed, with mechanics that feel fair yet challenging. For the first time, the story actually feels compelling, and gives more meaning to your progression. GGG deserves credit for taking such bold steps. Are there areas for improvement? Of course—no game is perfect and this is even early access. But leveling empty complaints just because the game doesn’t cater to your preferences or because it’s hard? That’s unfair to the developers and the community as a whole. If you’re finding it tough, take a step back and rethink your approach. Lean into the challenge—it’s what Path of Exile has always been about. Let’s focus on constructive feedback rather than baseless negativity. Last bumped on Dec 9, 2024, 8:40:25 AM

Nice attempt at 3g, but not convincing.

I think too many people just wanted POE1 with better graphics.
I'm glad they went into a new direction, the old ARPG formula was getting dreadfully stale for me. It's not for everyone, they have POE1 if they still want the old formula of power fantasy and grind. I got the sauce. Last edited by Holigawd#2935 on Dec 9, 2024, 3:08:46 AM

The game is amazing, and it's only been "out" for 3 days... the possibilities seem insane, with such amazing base.
Let people cry and just enjoy the game. People will always cry, no matter what. |

" You only have two low level characters, how can you compare the two games if you barely played poe 1? ✨ Beta tester Path of Nerf 👀

I think this game is designed to where you can't really get that stuck in it.
Uncut gems are plentiful = you can very easily change your skills around. There is at least 1 set of skills that can beat each act handily. You could brick your skill tree, but I honestly don't think it's that impactful. Chances are you got SOMETHING useful on it you can use, or you can respec. Gear is the easiest to change around. Yes it's not fun to grind up a whole new set of gear, but I mean, you could still do it. You're still learning the game and it's fresh and new, why not enjoy it? People just need to apply themselves. If you don't want a challenging game, okay, but a lot of people do. I don't see what's so bad about sticking with poe1. It's still there for you. |

I mean a bad game is subjective, so people calling it bad if it doesn't fit their preferences is perfectly fine. I think given more exact reasons they feel its bad would be more helpful though. Right now I personally just feel its bad because the lack of loot (still playing in hopes it gets addressed) Difficulty is fine if it feels rewarding, currently it does not.

I love the difficulty of it, really fun so far. I really hope they do not change this for people who obviously need to chill and skill up.

" Huh? My profile is messed up i guess. I've been playing PoE1 since it was closed beta. I am not an expert or anything, but i have a few thousand hours in the first one. |

You're all clearly getting upset when you see people don't fall in line like you do.
Every post reacting to the massive, well deserved dislike of the game is just "skill issue" or the game is hard, or something of that nature. The "hardness" of the the game is really just a small drop in the ocean of what's wrong with the game and the reason it doesn't even need to exist. |
