Ultimatum is EXPONENTIALLY Too Difficult

Ultimatum is leagues beyond anything else at the same level in act 3. The mods are far too punishing, too many enemies spawn, and on top of everything most of the modes are unfun.

If that's going to be an ascendancy trial it needs an immediate nerf across the board.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

I honestly might just quit.

I keep hoping that it's me and the game will be fun if I correct my build etc... but the sad fact is that although to bosses are cool the rest of the game just... kinda sucks.

Crafting doesn't exist and is basically RNG. You STILL have to farm for hours to get a respec. You can't get enough support gems to really experiment for now, and every enemy is just a damage sponge even if it's a trash mob.

Completely agreed.

There's a complete imbalance in both the mods AND THE BOSSES.

Some mods are simple:
- Buffs expire faster
- slower projectiles and smaller AOE
- Your defense is 50%
- There are small turrets that deal a bit of fire damage.
- There are lightning areas that can be triggered and dodges.
- Enemies crit
- You can't stun or slow enemies.
- Bleed and poison on hit

Then there are:
- Boss becomes OP (enrage).. Which isn't what you want when the boss can already 1 shot you.
- There's a huge screen wide (or bigger than the entire screen) AOE that will explode and causes 90% of your HP as damage.
- There're lasers constantly turning around and causing corrupted blood, and you cannot avoid it during boss battle.
- All enemies who die become homing bombs which you cannot dodge and if you're cornered then GG.
- Give rare mobs 2 extra modifiers and make 2 extra appear each stage (aka make sure that you give sorceress and witch players enemies who steal all their mana so they cannot use their spells at all)
- Some trolls put down old towers that constantly shoot high damage lightning arcs, which will mess with your boss fight.

Then there are those escort missions, which become infinitely more annoying when you have to constantly run to and from the escort, because another AOE is appearing ontop of you.

Not to mention the difficulty of bosses!!! The Chimera boss is reasonable - you have already fought it at that point and know its moveset. Then there are literally like 2 bird bosses who can easily 1 shot you, whose movesets you DON'T know and are literally horrendous. Like who came up with this? Who said that they should use bosses, who normally need a checkpoint & appear at later acts, as final bosses in Ultimatium???

This is horrible design - you can use older bosses we have defeated, sure, but new bosses who we don't even know about shouldn't be used as bosses of a long trial, not to mention giving them 1 shot mechanics for fast attacks? Come on..
Bahlak literally has 3-4 different moves that 1 shot, and they're also really hard to dodge. The jump is easy once you KNOW that it will happen, the feather attacks are the worst (the one that goes around him has little to no tell and 1 shots, and the ones where he shoots feathers consecutively can also 1 shot.. Oh yeah also the tornado.)

I honestly find Ultimatium to be disgusting in terms of how unfun that design is. It's supposed to be a slowly ramping up difficulty with each trial, but some of the trials are literally the size of an entire screen at their initial level (the expanding one) which hits for 1200+ hp at lvl 1 (aka pretty much instant death)..

Last point: The fact that your minions (skeletons) need to be respawned after the elevator is extremely messed up for minion builds. You literally have to run and dodge enemies until your minions can respawn, because they don't appear below the bridge at the start of trials.


Ultimatium isn't fun & really needs to be rebalanced in terms of the options. Make those options weaker, so that after each trial the difficulty can ramp up. Also remove instant death attacks at the end of the trial - this point is ridiculous, especially from bosses that I haven't faced yet.

Edit: Ultimatium seems like it shouldn't have come out of playtesting yet. This is a toxic game mode and shouldn't be forced as a quest. I really want my 2 hours back, especially because the last 1 hour, every single time I reached the end of the trail, it was literally the bird boss who 1 shots me with every 2nd of its attack patterns. Give me my time back..

+1 just keep bumping these until GGG addresses. they risk losing A LOT of players as soon as this weekend as more get to the third trials
