Minion Pact does not seem to function

My life: ~800
Skeletal Warrior Life: ~1000, buffed up using Meat Shield

Attached Minion Pact to Essence Drain and started firing, my minions didn't take any damage. I tried again, making sure to hit enemies with Essence Drain just in case it was relevant, still no minion damage.

Bump.

ran into this same thing. want to a low level zone using the lowest possible gem level. cast spark with minion pact with minions around. no ticks on the health bar at all.

Edit for 2 things:
1 The line "Only takes effect if you have a Minion with enough life to drain the full amount" really shouldn't exist as it limits a lot of build diversity & skill function.
2 it still doesn't work. Tried with skeleton minions in a high level area, with meat shield, confirmed they had more max HP than my character & still no results. Note: I was using Ghostwrithe Tattered Robe so that might have affected it?

It started working for me after I got higher level of skeletons skill then my skill that was using Minion Pact

edit: nevermind, it suddendly stopped working again in the same map without me changing anything

Can confirm its completely not working, put it on Essense Drain, my life is like 450, minions have like 550 and none of them take damage while standing right next to me.

Same here. Seemed to be working with skeletons at lower level, but not bone constructs from unearth. Constructs have higher life than me. Wonder if its counting ES without stating?

For me it works on minions generated from a skill (Skeletal Warrior) but not for the ones generated by weapons (Skeletal Warrior from Rattling Sceptre).
