PoE2 is melting my GPU
I'm sitting in the login screen and PoE2 and it's on 95% GPU usage. My 4070 Ti is close to the melting point at 74 °C with all fans on full power! What is going on? Not even Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is that demanding!

Noticed the high temps too. Playing on a 4090 and hot spot temps at max one point was 96° .... no other games pushes it to that.

I have been seeing massive temps on my 3080ti 90+degrees! (with a 97 peak!) but it only started on Tuesday10 DEC. From release day to monday 09DEC I had no issues what so ever, perfectly smooth and responsive experience.
Nvidia are up to date too. Been trying to make changes to resolve but every time I log in since i'm getting like 10fps and 100-300ms input delay. Frustrating and really want to play but cant :/ |

" Blame your vendors and chip makers. GPU is supposed to work at 100% load. |

Same problems here with Geforce 4060 TI - runs at 100% with stutter.

Fun fact:
My old gtx 970 is less than 100% because my CPU is even older (I5-2500K 4core) and i am CPU bound. No temp issues here and games run fine, apart from a bit slow with shader and cache processing and such due to the old cpu :D | |
I wanted to chime in and say that I'm also experiencing this issue with my RTX 4080.
My hotspot temps are hitting 106 to 110c (the thermal limit) and my GPU temp is around 68c (well below the thermal limit of 84c). My concern is of course with the hotspot temps. During a 1 hour session my average hotspot temp was 102.6c which is higher than normal. PoE2 is the only game I've ever experienced this with, so, there may be something with how this game is interacting with nvidia drivers and or the AMD/Nvidia combo. System: AMD 7950X3D ASUS Strix 4080 64GB DDR5 6000mhz M.2 Crucial PCI-e Gen5 2TB Windows 11 Pro Yes, I made sure gamebar is up to date and that it knows PoE2 is a game. I also use the balanced power profile per AMD's instructions. (though I tried other power profiles and it made no difference in the results). All drivers are up to date and my BIOS settings are: EXPO 1 Enabled Auto for everything else (other than boot options but all CPU and GPU performance settings are left at default). For reference - I played about 15 minutes of Black Myth Wukong, Silent Hill 2, Diablo 4, and Marvel Rivals. The highest hotspot came from Black Myth at 78c. All the others were around 72 to 74c. GPU temps were around 56-60c. (That's 15 minutes played for each game) Otherwise, the game performs fine and I've had the stray crash or two but I can't complain too much. I've had a lot of fun. " This is correct but the issue isn't the vendor or chip maker. The game might be overvolting things - this has happened many times with some games in the past. A lot of people are having this issue. |

" Same here with 4090, in any other games i barely hit 70c on 99% gpu load, POE2 goes insane with temperatures to 90c easy. I hope they will fix address and fix this soon. |

For now locking the game to 30 fps seems to be the only graphics setting that helps with the 100% gpu load issue. Not ideal but I think your graphics card will thank you.
